So cold today...a good day to get moving on my 3rd brooch for the Flickr 'Brooch a Week' Challenge. (I'm late - #3 was due yesterday!).
So far, I've entered these two:
Week No. 1
Week No. 2

Copper and Black
Lately I've fallen in love with copper and black combinations, using both Kato and Premo coppers. I made this necklace for my niece for Christmas, but had to take it back (technical difficulties). I'll send it out to her when her Mum goes to visit in a couple of months.

Here Comes the Sun
Up early enough this morning to see the sun rise:
I joined the Flickr group "Brooch a Week". I think it's fairly clear by the name that participants are required to produce one brooch per week for 2013. Most seem to be working in precious metals. It should be a good challenge for me. Here's my first entry, called 'Moonscape'
I used Kato copper and Gilder's Paste in 'patina'
And here are some copies of a vintage brooch that I saw on Pinterest. The original was celuloid.
